Merz Aesthetics and 7 leading beauty clinics have launched the “Bring Back Happiness” social movement campaign, introducing Merz Aesthetics Serendipity Journey (MASJ) that is bringing Thai women to the trueness of self-confidence and greater happiness.
Bangkok, 13 November 2019 – Driven by the saying that ‘Attractive people are more successful’, Thai women have tried to ‘make themselves beautiful’ so much that the attempts cost them their happiness.
Merz Aesthetics, an aesthetics innovation leader from Germany, understands social inequality and has thus launched the “Bring Back Happiness” social movement campaign building on Merz Aesthetics Serendipity Journey (MASJ) that Merz Aesthetics promoted to raise awareness in 11 Asia Pacific countries last year. This year Merz Aesthetics proceeds with its social movement campaign to return happiness to all Thai women so that they will be as beautiful and confident as they can be. Kittiwan Rattanachandr, General Manager of Merz Aesthetics Thailand and Indochina, joins hands with 7 leading beauty clinics in Thailand to change the perspectives of those who have problems with their facial structures and skin and to develop the image of Thai women being attractive and confident in their own ways and being ‘happier’, at the Honda Ultimate Screen movie theater of Paragon Cineplex on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon shopping center.
Ms. Kittiwan Rattanachandr, General Manager of Merz Aesthetics Thailand and Indochina, said “Today Thai society and beauty are inseparable. Thai people regularly visit beauty clinics. Everyone prioritizes beauty and believes that ‘attractive people are more successful.’ This causes those who feel they are not beautiful to lose confidence and feel discouraged and unhappy. Merz Aesthetics, as an aesthetics innovation leader from Germany, would like to bring forth the natural beauty and confidence of Thai women, help create the beauty and enhance ‘happiness’ in the ‘Beauty inside out’ fashion for all Thai women in accordance with the concept of Merz Aesthetics Serendipity Journey (MASJ) that was the campaign of Merz Aesthetics to raise awareness in 11 Asia Pacific countries last year. This year Merz Aesthetics joins hands with 7 leading beauty clinics in Thailand and comes up with the “Bring Back Happiness” social movement campaign that tells the true stories of 16 women whose issues concern facial structures and skin. A ‘Make over’ mission was launched to help them find their hidden beauty. This is to show the determination of Merz Aesthetics to always be there to bring beauty, happiness and success to Thai women. With some slight adjustments to the beauty, the women become confident and ‘happier’ in their everyday life.”
Merz Aesthetics has discovered 7 problems about facial structures and skin that affect Thai women’s confidence in their everyday and social life. They are drooping eyelids that gives a sleepy and dull look, an unfriendly mongoloid slant of eyes, sagging jowls which should have been with aunties, old-looking faces that friends like to tease, abnormal lip shapes that result in inferior complexes, unpleasant drooping mouth corners, and a crooked smile that undermines confidence because others stare only at ones’ mouth.
Ms. Kittiwan said that “Merz Aesthetics realizes the value and importance of beauty and social opportunities. We see that TV Thunder shares the same idea that Thai women should be confident of their own beauty and ‘happier’. So, we sponsor the Beauty War series that will be broadcast via LINE TV to reflect a social problem related to beauty obsession. It presents the problems individuals face along their journey towards beauty and the feelings of the persons. This is to change attitudes and perspectives so that Thai people can be confident of their unique beauty. It is also to express opposition to bullying targeting physical appearances or defects. This is to develop the society where Thai women can be happier in their life.”
